Scanning process
To scan a storage device with EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard for Mac, all you need to do is click the “Scan” button next to it, and that’s what we did. We were automatically taken to the scan results screen, with found files appearing in real-time as the scan was still in progress.
It didn’t take us a long time to realize that the estimated recovery time was inaccurate at best and completely misleading at worst. At least the number of found files seemed to be accurate. EaseUS should certainly work on improving the remaining time estimation algorithm to make it more useful. Seeing it go from 10 minutes to 1 minute in just 30 seconds before jumping back up to 5 minutes is not helpful at all.
Managing found files
When using data recovery software like EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard for Mac, it’s common to find thousands and thousands of lost files, with only a few of them being valuable. As such, it’s important for data recovery software to make the management of found files as painless as possible, and EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard for Mac does a good job in this regard.
You can display scan results either as large icons or as a hierarchy of folders and files. Quick Access shortcuts are provided for commonly accessed locations, including Trash, Desktop, Documents, Downloads, and Photos.
